Exercise Equipment Removal

Who amongst us has not purchased a piece of exercise equipment with the best of intentions of bettering ourselves? Unfortunately, sometimes they end up making a better coat rack. Or if you use them frequently, they don’t last forever. Whether your intentions fall short or you are ready to upgrade to a more efficient and working model, you have the task of figuring out what to do with the outdated machinery you have.
Exercise equipment is not always easy to just leave out at the curb, nor is it always in the shape it needs to be in to resell. And even if you decide to donate it, most organizations do not provide pickup services, meaning that you’ll have to move it yourself. At Junk-in-the-Box, we exercise great efficiency when ridding you of your exercise equipment.
Environmentally-Conscious Exercise Equipment Removal
Exercise equipment is meant to be a tool to better yourself, but it should not be to the detriment of our planet. Exercise equipment and machines like bikes, weight benches, and treadmills are rarely ever worthless. There is almost always an organization that is willing to take it off your hands and put it in a place where it can do good.
Recycling, reusing, and repurposing are usually the best ways to get rid of exercise equipment that you no longer want. They are also ways to positively treat the environment instead of allowing old equipment to sit in landfills forever. At Junk-in-the-Box, we’ll find a new home for your equipment when possible, or we’ll find a use for it before just tossing it aside.
Exercise Equipment We Take
Although each machine is different, these are the most common types of exercise machines that we take:

Do I Have to Prepare for Exercise Equipment Removal?
Although we handle pretty much everything, there are a few things that we would like for you to do ahead of time to prepare:
Verify the Condition
Conditions are important for us to know so that we can determine the best way to handle your equipment. The more we know, the easier it will be to remove it from your home. We can determine how many people are needed to lift and carry it and what size or type of equipment we will need for safety’s sake.
Move It into Storage/Locked Position
If the exercise machine can be moved into an upright or locked position, then please do so. It will ensure that we can remove it more efficiently and safely. It also will allow us to fit it around stairs, through doorways, and fit appropriately into the moving equipment we use.
Protect It with Blankets or Plastic Wrap
If you protect the exercise equipment with plastic wrap or blankets, that will make sure to protect your home from any dings or bumps. We are as careful as possible, but the extra help is much appreciated
Handling the Heavy Loads
When you hire us for exercise equipment removal, we not only find eco-conscious solutions for your used machinery; we also do the heavy lifting. Why rent a trailer, inconvenience friends, and risk moving oversized equipment when one call to us can handle it all?
We will provide you with a free, no-obligation estimate, remove your equipment, and make sure that it goes where it should. When possible, we also make sure that it does some good in the community for others, making it a win-win proposition.r
